Churchill ward was the former billiard room of the mansion, on the ground floor next to the central entrance opening out on the to south terrace. Churchill ward was named after Jennie Randolph Churchill, who was very involved in the Committee of the American Woman's War Relief Fund. She made many visits to the hospital and was an indispensable part of its operation.
