87 wounded arrive for Oldway - 29 March 1918

Abridged from the Paignton Western Guardian 4 April 1918

Another large convoy of wounded soldiers arrived by Red Cross train at Paignton on Good Friday, there being 67 cot cases and 20 walking cases. The men were wounded near St. Quentin, it is understood, and they were exceedingly cheerful, despite all they had undergone. Oldway Hospital is now fairly full, but there are still about sixty beds vacant.
