84 wounded for Oldway - 21 April 1916

At 1.15 on Friday morning a Red Cross train brought 84 wounded soldiers for Oldway Hospital, 44 were sit-up cases and 40 cot, some officers having alighted at Torre for Stoodley Knowle. The Fire Brigade members again carried out the task of removing the stretcher cases to the waiting ambulances, and the journeys to Oldway were made by G.W.R. bus and private cars.
